Canada Dance Mapping Study – Literature Review
The Canada Council for the Arts, in partnership with the Ontario Arts Council, has undertaken a Canada Dance Mapping Study, which seeks to provide a comprehensive profile of the breadth of dance activity across Canada. Phase 1 of the study, the literature review, has now been published and is available on the Canada Council website. The report examines a number of research sources regarding the state of dance in Canada, including professional, non-professional, and social dance, and is organized around six key themes: dance policy, economics, ecology, social aspects, digital technologies, and artistic expression.
